Introduction of a teacher

Salbot Serge

サルボ セルジュ

Born in Paris in 1967, French

Arrived in Japan in 1994, started living in Karuizawa.

They initiated the "Salbot French Language School" at the Akane Coffee Shop near Komazawa Park in Tokyo's Setagaya district.

Proficient in teaching children due to raising two kids of their own, they excelled in lessons tailored for young learners.

Since their arrival in Japan, they have taught numerous students, and their former students are now making a mark worldwide.

In 2018, the school relocated to Matubara in Setagaya-ku.

The spouse, Salbot Kyoko, is a French cuisine researcher. In a corner of the culinary school's atelier, French language lessons take place. Sometimes, the aroma of delicious dishes fills the air. Some students learn both French and culinary skills.

Having loved Japan since their time in France, they developed a fondness for Japanese movies. Every summer break, they watch recorded TV dramas like "Kita no Kuni kara" and "Wataru Seken wa Oni Bakari," shedding tears.

Before the pandemic, they organized trips to France, providing experiences in the French language, lifestyle, culture, and introducing delightful restaurants. Together with their wife, Kyoko Salbot, they served as guides.

Although already proficient in speaking beautiful Japanese, they are dedicated to further improving their language skills, actively studying Japanese to aim for the top level of the Japanese
