Group Lessons
Group lessons are not available as a standard option for online courses. However, lessons with friends or colleagues can be arranged upon request.
Enrollment Fee / Lifetime
A one-time enrollment fee is required to join Salbot French School. If you take a break or withdraw and later return, no additional enrollment fee is charged.
Monthly Tuition
Tuition is paid on a monthly basis. Unlike lump-sum courses, this keeps upfront costs low and makes it easy to get started. Payment is made in advance for the following month. Upon enrollment, two months of tuition are due. Thereafter, each month's tuition is due by the first lesson day of that month. Multiple payment methods are available — cash, card payment, or automatic monthly card billing. You may change your payment method at any time, so please feel free to enquire.
Lessons use Serge's original teaching method, so no textbooks or additional materials are required. Preparation for the DELF, DALF, and French Language Proficiency Test (仏検) is also available.
August is our summer break and no lessons are held. September's tuition is due at the first lesson in July. Lessons also pause from before Christmas through the New Year. Any missed lessons will be made up with replacement sessions. Please refer to the Annual Schedule for details.
For those who wish, free online lessons are available during the August break. Please speak with Serge directly.
How to Book
Upon enrollment, lessons are scheduled on a fixed day and time each week, creating a consistent and steady rhythm of learning. Your schedule will be arranged in consultation with Serge. Please note that lesson slots are limited and your preferred time may not always be available.
How Lessons Work
Lessons take place either at the classroom or online. For in-person students, please arrive 5 minutes before your lesson begins. For online students, please connect to Serge at your scheduled lesson time.
Please Note
If you arrive late, your lesson will run from your arrival time until the originally scheduled end time.
Each lesson day is a special time prepared exclusively for you. Serge puts thought and care into preparing every single lesson.
Make-up lessons are available only in cases of absence due to illness or other unavoidable circumstances. Please notify us before your lesson start time if you need to cancel. Make-up lessons are limited to once per month and must be taken within the same calendar month. Available dates for make-up lessons will be provided by us.
Every lesson builds real and lasting ability. The make-up policy is intended as a safety net for exceptional situations — attending as consistently as possible will lead to greater growth. We kindly ask for your cooperation and understanding.
At Salbot French School, we consider 5:00 PM and beyond to be evening time for young children. Lessons for children are therefore not scheduled after 5:00 PM. Thank you for your understanding.
